HIGH POINT JUNIOR FIELD TRIAL RETRIEVER 2025
It makes me very pleased to accept the BCARTC sponsored award for Top Junior Dog in BC.
The BCARTC does so much to create the retriever sport “family” that keeps us all connected.
It’s always questionable whether there will be enough junior dogs to even hold this stake and with that in mind, I would like to express my appreciation to the BC clubs who beat the bushes to find the magic number.
ALL the junior dogs have had a great year! As the tests became more challenging, they stepped up and while Wren triumphant in terms of points, only a whisker separated this group of talented youngsters. Wren and I look forward to the challenge of Qualifying in 2026.
My thanks to Wren’s breeder Bob Franey for producing such a fine litter and A HUGE thank you to our training group here in the Comox Valley, you guys are the best!
In addition, I wish to recognize my home club, the VIRC. I am both amazed and gratified that each year club members pull together and offer 3 licensed events. No small feat and so much appreciated.

HIGH POINT QUALIFYING RETRIEVER 2025
Abby was a video pick at Razor Kennels. Scott Anderson did a great job sending videos so I could figure out which one I wanted and blue collar seemed to always stand out to me .Abby has a great demeanor and is very receptive to training, she is a special dog to me and looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
Would like to thank Dan Danforth at Bowriver Retrievers for her early solid training down south in Texas and at home. Also all the Ladies that threw birds for us, or else none of this would have happened.
Many Thanks,
Gary

HIGH POINT ALL-AGE RETRIEVER 2025
Thank to the BCARTC for this honour. I am especially pleased because Flicker is the product of two great dogs, my girl Dart and Brian Griffin’s Digger. This makes her genuinely, Made in BC!
Flick has been a pleasure to work with. She has her both her Grand Master and her obedience trial championship and for 2025 she is tied for #1 Amateur position in Canada. Now, at eight she continues to put in maximum effort when we train and compete.
I know that Flick would not be the champion she is without the support of my training group and the opportunities presented by both my club, the VIRC and the BCARTC. You are all so very much appreciated!
